JAMMU, Feb 25: After the selection trials organised by J&K Archery Association and screening by J&K State Sports Council, 17-Member State team including 7 girls and 8 boys, besides 2 officials for participation in the 3rd Para Archery Championship to be held at Rohtak from March 2 to 5, 2019.
The team has laso been selected for 15th Compound and 26th Indian Round National Archery Championship to be held at Cuttak from March 13 to March 17, 2019.
The team: Rita Devi, Simi Sharma, Usha Devi, Pooja Devi, Deepa, Munisha Agarwal, Sunaina Devi, Rakesh Kumar, Ajay Singh, Amit Thakur, Shubam Sharma, Rigem Morbou, Stanzin Wangya, Rinchem Nanggai and Mohd Shafi.
Kuldeep Kumar and Darshna Devi will accompany the team as officials.
Before leaving for the Championship, the players met Dr Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary J&K Olympic Association and Working President J&K Archery Association; Sunil Sharma Associate Vice President Archery Federation of India; Abdul Qayoom Chief Sports Officer Sports Council; Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer; Satish Gupta Manager of J&K Sports Council and Vikas Gupta Joint Secretary J&K Archery Association.
