APS Ratnu Chak wins U-17 boys’ Basketball title

JAMMU, May 10: APS Ratnu Chak won Under-17 boys’ Basketball title, while APS Jammu Cantt bagged Under-14 boys’ Basketball title in the ongoing District Level Inter-School competitions organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Office, here.
In Under-14 Basketball final, APS Jammu Cantt defeated Heritage School by (15-08).
Earlier, in 1st semifinal, APS Jammu Cantt defeated their rival by (14-4), while in 2nd semifinal, Heritage School beat Model Academy by (10-04)
In Basketball Under-17 boys final, APS Ratnu Chak beat Sainik School Nagrota by (42-16).
Earlier, 1st semifinal, APS Ratnu Chak drubbed MHAC Nagbani by (32-24), while in another semifinal, Sainik School Nagrota crushed their rivals by (18-02).
The tournament was held under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman and under the chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu. Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu was the organizing secretary of the tournament, who lauded the efforts of the winners and runners-up teams for their good show.
The matches were officiated by Harsimranjeet, Vishal Bharti, Mousmi Verma, Amit Kalsi, Vaneet Pangotra, Rajesh Bandral, Usha Fotedar and Shevata Charak.
