APS Nagrota celebrates AWES Raising Day

JAMMU, Apr 29: Army Public School (APS), Nagrota celebrated its 29th AWES Raising Day in its school premises, here today.
Major General PS Rajeshwar, patron of the School was the chief guest on the occasion, while Brig DS Tripathi was present on the occasion.
It may be recalled that since the inception of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) on April 29, 1983, it has been nurturing global citizens.
A spectacular array of programmes was presented by the students and the programme began with a group song presented by them, spreading message of peace and unity.
It was followed by a message by the Principal, Rohini Rohit Gurung, who emphasized the need to focus on girl child and promote gender sensitization in schools.
A One Act Play ‘Durga’ was presented by the students to enlighten everyone about the supreme power of womanhood.
The tiny tots of the primary wing of the school enthralled the audience with their songs and dances on the occasion.
The School Magazine ‘Reflections’ was released by the dignitaries on the occasion, while the winners of the International Olympiad were also felicitated on the occasion.
