JAMMU, May 31: Army Public School (APS) BD Bari celebrated the valedictory function of its 10-day Summer Camp with enthusiasm and grandeur. The camp was organized in collaboration with Headquarters 92 Infantry Brigade and offered students a wide range of educational, creative and fitness-oriented activities.
Lt Col Kanwar Rohit Singh (SO School) attended the function as the chief guest. Parents also participated in large numbers, adding warmth to the occasion. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by cultural performances, fitness displays and a presentation highlighting the issue of internet addiction.
During the camp, students took part in activities such as Aerobics, Zumba, Yoga, Taekwondo, English Dramatics, Language Lab sessions, Cookery, Music, Dance, Art and Craft and projects in the ATAL Tinkering Lab. Special attractions included a movie screening, a visit to Hari Palace and an educational excursion to a Drone Station, which generated keen interest among participants.
A major highlight of the event was the felicitation of Class XII teachers for their contribution to the school’s outstanding academic performance. APS BD Bari secured the first position at the cluster level in the CBSE Class XII Board Examination results. Representing Brig Naveen D Prabhu, Chairman APS BD Bari, Lt Col Kanwar Rohit Singh presented certificates and gifts to the teachers. In his address, he praised their dedication and underscored the vital role of educators in shaping future generations.
