JAMMU, Oct 21: Army Public School, Akhnoor organised Inter School Jammu Sahodaya Basketball Tournament at MA Stadium, here today.
13 teams drawn from different schools participated in the tournament.
The participating schools included APS Akhnoor, Tiny Scholars, Rich Harvest School, Model Academy, MV International School, Stephens International, APS BD Bari, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Ratnuchak, KC International, APS Damana, Air Force School and Heritage School.
The tournament was declared open by Brig Harcharan Singh, President Zila Sainik Welfare along with the guests of honour including TP Singh AGM, J&K Bank, Pramod Shrivastava (MIER) and Amit Pathania (JKPS Kathua).
The 1st position was bagged by Air Force School, while 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions went to APS Akhnoor, APS Jammu Cantt and Model Academy School respectively.
The certificates of merit and medals were presented to the winners by KCS Mehta, Principal APS Akhnoor, Rakesh Chander, Vice Principal, APS Akhnoor, Surjeet Singh (Social Worker) and Neena, eminent educationist.
