Ansh proves mettle again, clinches Sub Junior Billiards title

JAMMU, Nov 24: After winning Sub Junior Snooker title, Ansh Chopra again proved his mettle and clinched the Sub Junior Billiards title also during the ongoing 26th J&K State Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Ansh defeated Saksham Mahajan by 2-1 frames and lifted the title trophy of the Sub Junior Billiards.
In the first frame, Ansh registered win over Saksham by 52-47 points, whereas Saksham bounced back and equalized the game by winning the second frame by 50-42.
In the decider frame, Ansh Chopra played mind games and won the frame from Saksham by 50-11 points.
Earlier in the first semis, Ansh Chopra defeated Sankalp Soni by 2-1 frames (31-50, 50-26 and 50-25), whereas in the second semifinal, Saksham Mahajan registered win over Manav Pathania by straight 2-0 frames (51-42 and 51-20).
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sharma, Marker, who has been appointed by J&K State Sports Council.
The Championship is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
