Annual Sports meet held at presentation convent

JAMMU, Jan 24: The Annual Sports meet was held at Presentation Convent Sr. Secondary School today amidst fun and cheer.
Sr. Stella, Manager of the School was the chief guest on the occasion.
The girls presented the guard of honour in their respective House squadrons to the chief guest. On the occasion different races were organized for the students of all classes.
Various feats from the performing arts including Martial Art and gymnastics were also put up. In the award and reward ceremony, the students were felicitated for their co-scholastic achievements for the session of 2012-13.
Presentation Convent has always upheld inculcation of moral values in its students. To promote this further, a special award was introduced and the proud recipients who had carved a niche for themselves in the field were felicitated.
Simranpreet Kaur of class XII for her endeavor as an eco-warrior, Shrishti Sharma of Class XII for her social outreach, Shruti Mehula and Arpita were the awardees in this category.
Peace House was awarded for its year round hard work when it lifted the grand Cockshield.
A special assembly on the occasion of Republic Day rounded up the day’s events filling the students with patriotic fervor.
Sr. Stella felicitated the students and urged them to keep the school banner flying high. Sr. Rosamma, the Principal of the School in her message wished the audience to uphold the value system of the school and become contributive members of the society.
