JAMMU, Apr 7: The three day Annual Sports Meet of Central University of Jammu commenced with a lot of enthusiasm at main Campus Rahya-Suchani (Bagla), here.
A Competition of seven games shall be held over the next three days.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ inaugurated the Meet by striking the first shot of the Carrom.
While speaking on the inaugural ceremony, Prof. Aima appreciated the efforts of Dean Student Welfare and his team for organizing the event. He encouraged the participant of all the events and stressed that taking up any form of physical activity is essential for overall development. Haji Mirza Hussain, Dy. Director, J&K Youth Services & Sports was the guest of honour for the inaugural ceremony.
Jit Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu complimented the efforts of the organizing team.
Earlier Prof. Lokesh Verma presented welcome address.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Deans, Heads, Faculty Members and University Officers.
Dr. Pavinder Singh, Dean Student Welfare presented a formal vote of thanks.
The proceedings of the event was conducted by Dr Bharti Gupta.
