Annual Sports meet ‘Anant Khel 2025’ concludes at CUJ

JAMMU, Nov 15: The annual sports meet “Anant Khel 2025” at Central University of Jammu (CUJ) concluded with great enthusiasm after three days of competitive action from November 13 to 15. The event witnessed the participation of over 1,500 students and 100 faculty members across a wide range of sporting disciplines, including cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi, athletics, table tennis, chess, carrom, E-sports and aesthetic events.
The medal ceremony was graced by Anuradha Gupta, DG Youth Services and Sports as the chief guest, who highlighted the importance of physical and mental well-being and shared initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle among students. Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated medal winners and emphasized the spirit of sportsmanship. Prof. Vandana Sharma, Director I/C, Directorate of Physical Education, welcomed the guests, while Dr. R. Sudhakar presented the vote of thanks.
A total of 51 gold, 50 silver and 30 bronze medals were awarded. The Vice-Chancellor’s Trophy for the best overall departmental performance was claimed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, marking the culmination of a successful and spirited Anant Khel 2025.
