SRINAGAR, June 26: Anantnag Angare outclassed Pulwama Panthers by 4 wickets to advance in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League (KPL) Phase-II, organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports and J&K State Sports Council, under Operation Sadhbhavana at Government Degree College ground Pulwama, today.
Put into bat, Pulwama Panthers batsmen posted a decent total of 176 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Owais Wani played a brilliant innings of 61 runs. For Anantnag Angare, Manzoor Nath was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 important wickets.
In reply, Anantnag Angare scored the required runs in 18.5 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Imran Bazaz was the star performer, displaying a superb all-round show, which fetched him a man of the match award.
