POONCH, July 10: Abdul Majeed Banday (AMB) Educational Welfare Society inaugurated six days long T-10 Cricket Tournament at village Arai, near here today.
Commanding Officer 183 Battalion Border Security Forces (BSF) Mandi was chief guest of the event wherein nearly teams are going to participate in the sports event.
Chairman of the Society, Dr Shamim Ahmed Banday said that the aim of this tournament was to bring out hidden talent of local youth and to channelize their energy positive direction, so that the local youth can stay away from the drugs menace.
Additional Superintendent of Police Poonch, Liaqat Kalas was the guest of honour and said that there was a need to provide such platforms, so that the potential of the youth is channelized in a better way. Chief Education Officer Poonch, Sarpanch Aslam Tantray, Mir Aslam and Shakeel Parray were also present during the inaugural ceremony of the event.
