JAMMU, Sept 10: All J&K State Ranking/ Selection Badminton Championship-2019 organised by J&K Badminton Association concluded, here today.
Former Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation and former Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Kiran Wattal was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr OD Sharma, Chairman, J&K Badminton Association and Vice President, Badminton Association of India was the guest of honour, who distributed prizes among the medal winners on the occasion.
In Under-19 Boys Singles, Bhavya Sharma Emerged champion and Puranjay Sharma remained runners-up, while in Under-19 Girls Singles, Unnati Jaral emerged winners and Krishika Mahajan was the runners-up.
In Under-19 Boys Doubles, the pair of Sarabpreet & Puranjay won the title by defeating the duo of Ritik & Abhay, while in Under-19 Girls Doubles, Krishika & Shambhavi got the better of Pranjal & Parisa in the summit clash to claim the title.
In Under-19 Mixed Doubles, Puranjay & Shrijus defeated Sarabpreet & Pranjal to bag the title.
In Men’s Singles, Raghav Dogra emerged champion and Vipul Saini remained runners-up, while in Women’s Singles, the title was bagged by Krishika Mahajan by beating Vaishnavi Sharma.
In Men’s Doubles, the duo of Raghav & Manish got the better of Harsh & Akshay, while in Women’s Doubles, Unnati & Krishika duo trounced the pair of Niteshi & Rupal.
In Seniors Mixed Doubles, Harsh & Vaishnavi defeated Akshay & Krishika in the title clash.
