All India Devotional Song Competition enters 3rd day

KATRA, Oct 8: As part of Navratra Festival 2013, the All India Devotional Song Competition entered in third day, here today.
The Competition started with lighting of traditional lamp by chief guest, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Deputy Commi-ssioner Reasi in presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Tara Singh, Shiv Kumar Gupta Joint Director Tourism, Subash Deputy Director Tourism, Rajinder Katoch DySP Katra, Krishan Lal General Manager Industries, besides president Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra Shyam Lal Kesar, Sardari Lal Dubey, Harish Dubey, Soni, Virender Kesar, Ramneek Nawada and Ajay Sharma.
In the competition of 2nd  Navratra, Subhjinderjeet from Amritsar stood first, Chaman Lehri from Reasi and Amit Sharma from Pathankot shared  second  prize and Anuradha Sharma  from  Jammu stood third.
In the competition of 3rd Navratra, Nikhal Majotra from Miran Sahab Jammu clinched first position, Rajesh Gaind from Jammu stood 2nd and 3rd prize was taken by Gunjan Dixit from Mathura, UP among 15 auditioned participants.
Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were rewarded with the cash prize of Rs 5000, 3000 and 2000 respectively alongwith gifts from Zee News.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Anupama Sharma, Professor Music Degree College Parade, Jammu, Dr Usha Bhagati, Ex. HoD Music MAM College, Jammu and Parveen Sabherwal, Ex.HoD Music Govt College for Women Parade/Gandhi Nagar.
A guest item was also presented by the previous winner of the All India Devotional Song Competition and a renowned singer, Ravi Raghuvanshi.
