DODA, Aug 23: All India BCC T-20 Cricket Championship was inaugurated by General Manager NHIDCL along with SHO Doda, Arun Sharma, Municipal Councillor, Asif Jahan Gattu and other dignitaries at Sports Stadium, here today.
The first inaugural match was played between Combine Doda and Knight Rider Bhalla, wherein former defeated the latter by 79 runs. Yasir Dar was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In this tournament, around 48 teams are participating out of which around dozens teams from different States.
The players said that they were curious to play matches in the BCC tournament as it is the only cricket tournament which provides a platform to the youth for exhibiting their hidden talent.
They further said that there is no dearth of talent in the Chenab region but unfortunately, it was ignored due to unknown reasons. The teams praise the effort of Bright Construction Company for organizing such a mega event for the first time in the district and provide a platform to the budding players, so that they can showcase their talent.
