JAMMU, Aug 22: The members of All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice (AJKMPJ) Kuldeep Kumar Rao and Dr GS Charak have appealed public of Kishtwar in general and youth community in particular to maintain peace and harmony in the State and not to fall prey to machinations of people with vested interests.
Blaming the State as also the Central Governments for failing to curb corruption, the AJKMPJ members said the Governments divert the attention of the general public from the issues of scams and corruption and keep them engaged in conflicts and riots.
The members further alleged that the District Administration Kishtwar did not take any action against the miscreants who raised pro-Azadi and pro-Pakistani slogans after the Eid prayers in presence of police and district authorities.
They said that had these anti national elements been handled with Iron hands earlier, they would not have dared to raise such slogans. They appealed the Government to bring the miscreants to book.
