JAMMU, Feb 2: Defeating their rivals convincingly today, Ajit Hockey Club Gole Gujral and Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) have stayed alive in the ongoing Jammu District Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
In the first match, Ajit Club Gole Gujral defeated Deshmesh Hockey Club by three goals to nil (3-0) in a one-sided match. For Ajit Club, Harjeet Singh, Ranjeet Singh and Gagandeep Singh scored the three goals respectively.
In another match, GNNHC blanked Kathua Lachipora Hockey Club by four goals to nil (4-0). The first goal was scored by Simranjeet Singh, while the second goal was netted by Koushal Singh in 20th minute. The 3rd and 4th goals were scored by Gagandeep Singh and Daman Sharma in 42nd and 50th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Vaid, Joginder Singh, JS Reen, Karanjit Singh and Satvir Singh.
Jaswant Singh, Senior Vice President Hockey J&K was the chief guest in today’s matches, while prominent among others present on the occasion were MS Reen and GS Bakshi.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Hiranagar Club will take on KSS Hockey Club.
