Aggarwal finalizes arrangements for 59th National School Games

JAMMU, Dec 16: The Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Aggarwal finalised arrangements for 59th National School Games in the discipline of Volleyball Under-14 boys and girls in a review meeting held at Youth Hostel Nagrota, here today.
Mr Aggarwal accompanied by Ved Parkash, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu had a detailed discussion with the conveners of various committees including their members to review the arrangements for this sporting extravaganza.
Three venues have been selected for lodging the visiting teams. While, the girls teams will be lodged at Youth Hostel Nagrota and boys teams will be lodged at Saraswati Dham near Railway Station Jammu, besides those contingents which have their own messing arrangements will be accommodated at Yatri Bhawan, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
42 teams including 22 boys and 20 girls will be participating in this sporting extravaganza.
The Director General served strict instructions to the conveners of various committees to perform their duties in letter and spirit.
Later, Mr Aggarwal interacted with the players and officials of the host teams, who were enthusiastic, energized and waiting in the wings to vie for the top honours.
Seeing the enthusiasm and energy level of the boys and girls teams, the Director General Youth Services and Sports hoped for excellent performance of the host teams, the players of which have been selected after holding galaxy of tournaments at the School, Zone, District, and Division Level, besides the ongoing Pre-National Coaching Camp.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were DYSSOs- Dr Sawarn Singh,  Dewan Thakur, Jarpal Singh, Swami Raj Kotwal, Tirath Ram, Sunil Kumar, Mohd Ayaz Khan, Sukhdev Singh, Subash Chander and Lecturer Physical Education, Rajesh Dhar.
