JAMMU, Mar 30: K Vijay Kumar, Advisor to the Governor honoured the budding Gymnasts during the closing ceremony of the 10-day Gymnastics Coaching Camp in an impressive and well attended function at Indoor Sports Complex, here today.
Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Secretary J&K State Sports Council and Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer were the guests of honour.
Ranjeet Kalra, Co-Chairman, Sports Council Central University Jammu also graced the occasion with his presence.
In the concluding function, the young Gymnasts of the State gave an impressive demonstration in front of the dignitaries. The chief guest appreciated the performance and medal haul of the Gymnasts and distributed the prizes among the winners and runners-up teams, besides individual prizes among the winners of the Championship.
Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer and Gymnastics coaches SP Singh, Kurpali Singh and Manisha Gupta were present on the occasion along with other coaches and officials of Sports Council.
Players of other disciplines were also present on the occasion.
