J&K’s Wasim, Amir in Indian World Cup Divyang Cricket team

JAMMU, June 7: Wasim Iqbal and Amir Rather of Jammu and Kashmir have got the National selectors nod to be picked for the Indian team as the All India Cricket Association for Divyang announced Indian Divyang Cricket team today at Mumbai Cricket Association Office for the forthcoming World Cup to be held in England.
The World Championship will be hosted by England and Wales Cricket Board from August 3 to 17, 2019 at England.
For the selection of the players J&K Divyang Cricket Association has extended thanks to DGP, Dilbag Singh, IGP MK Sinha, besides CEO Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari and Member JKCA Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal for helping the Association in organizing selection matches of all India divyang Cricketers recently at Jammu and also providing requisite facilities and boarding lodging of out of state players at Jammu. The Association also thanked the National selectors for recognising the performance of J&K players.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier Jagmohan from Reasi had represented India against Afghanistan at Noida last year.
Meanwhile, talking to Rajesh Dhar, Secretary of J&K Divyang Cricket Association, National selector and former Ranji Trophy Player from Mumbai Prasad Desai said that it was the performance of these players (Wasim and Amir) which has helped them to get the selectors nod.
“Both Wasim and Amir are immensely talented,” Prasad said.
The Indian team: Vikrant Ravinder Keni, Kunal Dattatray Phanase, Wasim Iqbal Khan, Tushar Paul, Ravindra Gopinath Sante, Suganesh Mahindaren, Debabrata Roy, Anish Padeetharayil Rajan, Anshul, Ramesh Subrahmaniyam Naidu Mantri, Narinder Mangore, Jetindra Vaddi Nagaraju, Gurudass Ramdass Raut, Gurjant Singh, Mandeep Singh Sran and Amir Hassian Rather.
Stand bys: Abdul Khaliq, Sunny Goyat, Asitkumar Ramsavar Jayswar and Avinesh Kumar.
