JAMMU, Dec 3: Prinkle Singh and Sumitpal Singh of J&K sailed into the next round of the ongoing All India Lawn Tennis Championship Series at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association Stadium, Chandigarh.
In under 16 category, Prinkle today entered second by thrashing Chetan Kumari of Haryana by 8-1 score, whereas, in under 12 category, Prinkle also qualified for the second round.
In doubles under 16, Prinkle and Arushi Kakkar of Chandigarh entered quarterfinal round.
Meanwhile, Sumitpal Singh also advances to second round in under 16 category in the ongoing championship series. In the start of the match, Sumitpal was 1-3 down to Youngal Bansal of Madhya Pardesh and in the next two game Sumitpal make good forehand shorts and equalized the score.
After that, Sumitpal played mind games and trounced his opponent Youngal Bansal by 9-5 score.
In doubles under 16 category, Sumitpal along with his partner Vikas of West Bengal outclassed Jotpal Singh and Gurjot Singh of Harvest Tennis Academy, Punjab by 4-1 and 4-1 score and sailed into quaterfinal round of the championship series.
