NCI celebrates first Annual Day

RAMBAN, Nov 24: To celebrate its first Annual Day a colorful programme was organized by New Convent Institute (NCI) at school premises, here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban, Randeep Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion, while Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Ramban, Shammi Kumar was the guest of honour.
The function was started with the prayers by the students followed by welcome speech of Principal Mehboob Hussain.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that education is a basic requirement for overall development student that is never ending process.
He stressed upon the student to choose police service as carrier to serve the nation. He informed that police has initiated various programmes for assisting students in education and sports.
He advised the youth to resist themselves from the drug addiction and other social evils besides come forward to cure the crime from the society.
ARTO in his speech stressed upon the teachers to focus on moral education which is needed for build a good citizen of the nation. He said that extracurricular activities should be carry for successful life.
Various cultural items presented on the occasion including Thali Dance, Dogri, Bollywood, Kashmiri and Punjabi dance.
Later outstanding students in academics were also awarded by the school management.
