SRINAGAR, June 19: Kashmir Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association in collaboration with Tourism Department organized “Swimming Fun Race” at Nageen Water Sports Centre, here.
It was for the first time, that all the participants were non-swimmers, but with the help of Life Saving Jackets, they completed the distance.
A total of 45 players’ different schools and clubs took part in the competition, wherein Suhaib Mehraj of KPM School bagged first place, while Ameer Shafi secured second place and Umer Qadir bagged third place.
On the valedictory function, Mahmoud Ahmad Shah, Director Tourism was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners in presence of Rouf Tramboo, President KASTPA, AR Bhat, Zahid Ali, Ahsan Ali, Villayat Hussain, etc.
While speaking, Director Tourism Said that second swimming pool will be opened in couple of days at Water Sports Centre Nageen.
