Power House Hockey Club lifts Jr Boys Hockey title

POONCH, Nov 3: Outplaying Stadium Yellow Hockey Club in a close contest in the summit clash, Power House Hockey Club lifted the title trophy of the District Poonch Junior Boys Hockey Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.
After a tough contest in the stipulated time, with scores leveling at 2 goals each, the match was decided via penalty shootouts, wherein Power House Club emerged winner to lift the title. From Power House Hockey Club Shobit scored in the 10th minute and Ishtiaq scored in the 55th minute, while  from Stadium Yellow, Sohail and Imran scored in 17th and 26th minutes of the match respectively.
The match was officiated by Mohd Shokat, Mukesh Kumar and Tanveer Ahmed.
Narjeet Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officer was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present on the occasion were Nirdosh Kumar, In-charge Sports Stadium Poonch, besides Jatinder Singh and Jagjeet Singh.
The Tournament was conducted under the aegis of Hockey J&K and under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, retired SAI hockey coach and vice president of Hockey J&K.
