JAMMU, July 16: KC Public School was presented with the British Council’s International School Award (ISA) for a period of 3 years (2015-18) in a formal ceremony at Kempinski Hotel, New Delhi, recently.
The ISA is a bench-marking scheme that accredits Schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship among young people and enriching teaching and learning. The Award provides a framework for Schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year. It encourages Schools to collaborate with overseas Schools to create a rich learning experience for the students through the use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real contest for learning.
Following the guidelines of the Award, KCPS developed an action plan, complemented international activities throughout the academic year 2014-15 and shared partnerships with Schools in Argentina, UK, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Palestine. Skipton Girls School North Yorkshire England and KCPS turned global partners under Connecting Classrooms Programme of the Council and collaborated on quite a few projects during the year.
The Chairman of the School, Sudershan Mahajan congratulated the Principal, ISA Coordinator and all the faculty members associated with the Award for their achievement.
