JAMMU, Oct 21: MHRD launched Swachh Bharat-Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign from October 2 to October 25, 2014 to pay homage to one of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite tenets–cleanliness is next to Godliness.
APS Domana also participating in this campaign by taking up the programme through various activities like pledge walkathon, skits, essay writing, slogan writing, poster making, cleanliness drive Tiffin drive, best out of waste and through online Expression Series conducted by CBSE.
To commemorate the closing ceremony and to felicitate the active participants of various activities, a valedictory function was organized in APS Domana.
Nandita Barik, Chairperson FWO Chenab Brigade graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Students spread the message of cleanliness and teachings of Gandhi Ji through various activities which enthralled the gathering.
Chief guest, Nandita Barik presented the certificate and memento to Dr Renu Gupta, Principal, APS Damana and Gurdeep Kaur, Senior Scale TGT(SST), in charge of Green Brigade for being selected as Paryavaran Mitra Best School at state level, awarded by Govt of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests.
The programme concluded with National Anthem.
