JAMMU, Oct 21: Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, today, held its Annual Sports Day in its premises, here today.
T R Choudhary, School Principal was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Principal was received by the scouts and guides in an fascinating manner.
Young children presented welcome song to receive the chief guest.
Different sport events were arranged on this occasion.
For primary students, the events held included 100 meter race, three legged race, sack race, obstacles race, wearing the socks and shoes and complete the race and lemon race etc, while For secondary classes kabaddi matches for age groups of Under-14 and Under-19 were played. The winners were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. During the event children presented cultural items to refresh the audience.
School Principal, T R Choudhary wished the students a bright career and health. He added that the role of physical activities is also important because it keeps our body and mind healthy.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by B C Dwibedi, Vice-Principal of the Vidyalaya.
