Doda, May 24: Jammu & Kashmir National Conference leader Rafi Choudhary inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Khelo India Series at Evergreen Stadium, Chilly Khornal in Gandoh, Bhallessa, aiming to promote youth engagement through sports.
Organised by Shaheen Cricket Club under chief organisers Shuiab Dev and Manzoor Raaz, the tournament seeks to encourage sportsmanship, unity, and local talent. In the opening match, MCC Bhallesa scored 83 runs in 15 overs, while Rising Chilly fell short at 78, giving MCC Bhallesa a 5-run victory.
Choudhary praised the initiative and urged youth to stay away from drugs, highlighting sports as a tool for discipline and social harmony. He also stressed the importance of strengthening sports culture in remote areas.
