KATHUA, Feb 2: The T-10 Cricket Tournament under the theme “Say No to Drugs, Khelo India” kicked off today at the Government Degree College ground, Bani, Kathua, with support from NHPC Sewa–II Power Station, Mashka. The event aims to encourage youth to stay away from drugs and actively participate in sports.
A total of 16 teams are competing in four groups, with league matches scheduled throughout the tournament. The event was inaugurated by DySP Ameen Bhatt, with SHO Bani Surinder Raina and former Sarpanch Gatti Sushil Kumar as special guests.
On the opening day, Chandal XI defeated Super Star Challa. Batting first, Chandal XI scored 66 runs in 10 overs. In reply, Super Star Challa managed 60 runs for 9 wickets, falling short. Keshav of Chandal XI starred with 4 wickets for 9 runs in 3 overs, leading his team to victory.
