Students from Drass meet President Murmu

LEH, June 3: In a historic and proud moment, a group of 16 students from Drass meet President of India, Droupadi Murmu, here today. The interaction took place in New Delhi as part of the National Integration Tour, organized by the Forever in Operations Division of the Fire & Fury Corps.

The President commended Indian Army for the initiative and inspired students to pursue their dreams with dedication and passion. She urged them to learn from lives of great Indian leaders and adopt values of perseverance and lifelong learning.

During their enriching journey, students visited several iconic landmarks and institutions, including IIT Jammu, Fish Aquarium Jammu, National War Memorial, Nehru Planetarium, Dilli Haat, Select City Walk Mall and India Gate. These visits gave them exposure to India’s scientific, historical, and cultural achievements.

The next phase of their tour will include visits to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Forest Research Institute (FRI), Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Graphic Era University and Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, offering insight into the country’s academic, military, and administrative excellence.

Abdul Wahid, Councillor of Bhimbet, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of Drass to Brigade Commander of 56 Mountain Brigade for facilitating this transformative opportunity for the youth. The tour aims to promote patriotism, leadership, and unity among the young minds of remote areas.
