JU’s Employees Tournament 2025–26

JAMMU, Apr 28: The University of Jammu Employees Tournament 2025–26 witnessed exciting contests as employees showcased exceptional skills in the Table Tennis (Men) events at the Gymnasium Hall.
In the Men’s Singles Semi-Finals, Prof. Rakesh Vaid defeated Prof. Sushil Sharma by 2–0 and Dr. Rajesh Kumar triumphed over Rajesh Kumar by 2–0. The highly anticipated Men’s Singles Final saw Prof. Rakesh Vaid clinched the title by defeating Dr. Rajesh Kumar by 3–1. In the Men’s Doubles Final, the pair of Prof. Rakesh Vaid and Prof. Sushil Sharma emerged victorious, beating Rajesh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar by 3–1, showcasing their strong coordination and teamwork.
Simultaneously, University of Jammu Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025–26 kicked off at the Gymnasium Hall, featuring intense competitions in Carrom and Badminton. In Carrom (Men), Geography Department defeated Bio-technology Department by 2-0, while in Carrom (Women), Design Your Degree Department triumphed over Physical Education Department by 2-0. In Badminton (Men), D.S.R.S. Department beat D.Y.D. Department by 2-1 and Journalism Department defeated Botany Department by 2-1. Other notable victories included ICCR & HAM overcoming Chemistry Department by 2-0, MCA Department beating Geology Department by 2-0, and Law Department edging past Mathematics Department by 2-0. In the Badminton (Women) category, Biotechnology Department won by 2-0 against Law Department, and English Department defeated Zoology Department by 2-0.
The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman of the Campus Sports Committee, with contributions from Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia and Gagan Kumar ensuring its success.
