SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Delhi FC in an I-League match, at the TRC Ground, here today. This win marks RKFC’s second at home in three matches, with the other being a draw, and they are still unbeaten with seven points from three games.
Bouba Aminou gave Real Kashmir the lead in the 72nd minute with a header, followed by Lalramdinsanga Ralte doubling the advantage in the 84th minute. Delhi FC responded with a goal from Stephane Samir Binong in the 89th minute, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback. The match saw some dramatic moments, particularly with Delhi FC’s goalkeeper, Debnath Mondal, who received a yellow card for arguing with the referee and later left his position dangerously, resulting in a near miss. Despite his impressive saves, Mondal couldn’t prevent Aminou’s header or Ralte’s strike.
Real Kashmir had a chance to extend their lead during added time with a penalty, but Abdou Karim Samb missed the spot kick. RKFC owner Arshad Shawl and manager Yasir Malik both praised the team’s performance and thanked the fans for their unwavering support. The Snow Leopards, the only I-League team from Jammu and Kashmir, will face their next opponent on December 9, with the matches available live on Sony Sports.
