IFC Kashmir beats Old City FC by 3-1 goals

SRINAGAR, Sept 13:  The ‘A’ Division of DFA Srinagar Annual League Football Tournament-2021 kicked off at Gindun Ground Rajbagh, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Manager Gindun Ground Rajbagh, followed by a match also played between Eleven Star FC Hawal and Kashmir Stars FC Anchar which was won by Eleven Star FC by 4 goals to 2.
Meanwhile, the match between FC Views and Jhelum FC remained a 2-2 goals draw in the ongoing Super-Division League, organised by J&K Football Association at Synthetic Turf TRC.
Both the teams enthralled the audience by their spectacular moves. The first goal was scored by Dawood of Jhelum FC in the 4th minute of the 1st half. FC Views levelled the score immediately in the 7th minute through Muneeb.  Both the teams geared up and tried hard to take the lead but it was FC Views who took the lead in 23rd minute through Munneb while Jhelum FC once again levelled the score in the 26th minute of the game through Arman. In the 2nd half both the teams tried to dominate each other but could not find the net. Thus the match ended with a 2-2 goals draw.
In the closely contested 2nd encounter between IFC Kashmir and Old City, the former prevailed upon Old City FC by 3 goals to one. Right from the start of the match, the teams played aggressive Football and dominated each other but in the first 10 minutes of the play, Hannan of Old City FC scored magnificent goal on free kick, followed by IFC Kashmir players tried their best to score an equalizer and they succeeded when Ubaid of IFC Kashmir scored a goal in the 15th minute. In the 25th minute, Ishafq doubled the lead for IFC Kashmir.
The 2nd half also witnessed intense clashes between the forwards and defenders of both the teams. In the dying moments, a penalty kick was awarded in favour of IFC Kashmir. Ishfaq Ali without any mistake converted it into a goal and thus the match ended with 3goals to1 in favour of IFC Kashmir.
