JAMMU, Dec 25: 5th Mata Joginder Kour Memorial 2021 Badminton Championship closing ceremony was held at Unique Public Senior Secondary School, Gadigarh here today.
The programme commemorated with welcoming of the chief guest Narinder Singh (General Secretary BJP) by the chairman and trustee of the School. The students presented a welcome dance and a song. Unique School Band present a mesmerizing chores which was one of the best for welcoming of Chief Guest.
The final of the championship was held between Unique Sports Club Gadi Garh vs Red Rose Arnia in Senior Group.
Red Rose Arnia declared the winner in the nail biting match which made all the spectators sit holding the breath.
Chief guest Narinder Singh (General Secretary BJP) conferred the trophy to the winner. In his speech, he appreciated the players and lauded the efforts of the School in providing the students with an atmosphere where the overall development of the child is kept in perspective and the best support system is provided to students to hone not only their academic skills but also upgrade their skills in extracurricular activities.
Welcome speech was given by Amarjeet Singh (Lecturer Physical Education). Harbans Singh husband of Late Smt. Joginder Kour also grace the occasion.
The chairman and trustee of the School also congratulated the winners while promising to promote the overall growth of the students.
In the vote of thanks, chairman Jasbir Singh congratulated the winner and wished everyone a joyous new year.
