KATRA, Mar 28: 59th Annual Moori Kesari Vishal Dangal 2014 will be held on March 30, 2014 near Middle School Moori, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India.
The members who attended the meeting were Badri Nath, Om Parkash, Romesh Chander, Dharam Chand, Sher Mohd, Jakeen Ali, Brij Paul Singh, Bodh Raj, Sukhdev Sharma and Mohan Singh.
Mr Sharma said that Vishal Dangal was organized by Moori Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
While giving the details of Dangal, Mr Sharma said about 60-65 wrestlers from within and outside the State are going to take part in the Dangal.
He added that wrestlers drawn from Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Roun-Domail, Ramnagar, Panchari, Bhamag, Reasi, Jhajjer Kotli, BSF, JKP and Jindrah have confirmed their entries while from outside the wrestlers from Amritsar, Pathankote, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Khanna, Hossiarpur, Haryana, Delhi and Dera Baba Nank are likely to participate in the Vishal Dangal.
Meanwhile, all the interested wrestlers of the Jammu region have been asked to contact Shiv Kumar Sharma (94191 61880) for their entries in the Vishal Dangal. Cash prize money for the first malli bout is Rs 31,000 for the second malli cash prize is Rs 25,000, while for the third malli is cash prize of Rs 21,000.
