JAMMU, Feb 23: Non Governmental Organisation (NGO)-Anjana organised a 5-day externship program at Chilla, Nathatop, here.
The externship was a training program, organised by the NGO especially for students to enhance their skill and experiences by empowering rural population. “A resident of a small city often misses out on certain events such as internships, exchange programs and fundraisers for which usually associate with metro cities,” said Anjana Founder Chairman, Harman Anand and said that Anjana aims to bridge the gap between the two.
“This program provided an opportunity for the externs to see the harsh realities of rural life closely, analyse the problems faced by the villagers and bring out the best possible solutions,” said Founding Director Climate Jammu, Anmol Ohri.
“Such opportunities are ideal for the young generation and exposure to harsh realities and struggle, being in the centre of problem and intellectual contribution to the community are the main things that strengthen individual personalities and nourish the society and the Anjana believes social externships are revolutionary in bringing holistic evolution in Jammu,” said Kashvi Garg during the program.
