JAMMU, Mar 16: The 45th Inter Collegiate Annual Athletic Meet 2018-19 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu concluded with the distribution of medals and trophies to the winners at University Sports Stadium, here.
On the occasion, Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar, University of Jammu was the chief guest, who awarded medals and trophies to the winners .
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Kilam congratulated the participants and winners as well as the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu for smooth conduct of the 45th Inter Collegiate Annual Athletic Meet 2018-19 and other sports events organized during this session, which provided opportunities to the students for participation in various sports activities.
Earlier, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu presented welcome address.
Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager, Bharat Petroleum and Karunesh Gupta, Social activists were the special guests, who also spoke on the occasion.
An impressive Taekwondo and Penchak Silat demonstration was presented on the occasion by the players, under the supervision of Gourav Arora.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Kuldeeep Magotra, GS Bakshi, Mahesh Sharma, Sudhir Singh, Madhu Khajuria, Pawan Singh Bahu, Akash Bhola, Dr. Balwinder Singh, Ashwani Bakshi, Dr Noor, Prof. Ashok Kumar, PP Singh, Angad Singh, Amit Targotra, Dr Brij Baloria, Ramesh Magotra and Physical Directors of the various Colleges.
Technical officials who officiated the Meet were Ramesh Sharma, S. Gurcharan Singh, Chamel Singh, S. Harsimran Singh, Nirmal Singh, S. Harvinder Singh, Pawandeep Kour, Harvinderpal Singh, S. Gurbachan Singh and Amit Sharma.
The proceedings of the events were conducted by Tarvinderpal Singh, Ms. Drishti Sharma and Aqil Rasool.
