GZSRC augments shooters shoot; dominates major events

SAMBA, Mar 16: General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club (GZSRC) is playing a pivotal role in producing high class and skilful shooters, besides augmenting the shoot of budding shooters in the State. The shooters of GZSRC, time and again, are proving their medal by winning medals at all levels.
This was stated by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister while honouring the medal winners of the 9th State Shooting Championship held recently.
21 shooters of General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club accompanied by their coaches Capt. Shamsher Singh and Vishal Mehra excelled in 10 m rifle and pistol events in all age group categories.
In under-15 age group boys & girls, Adhiraj Singh Charak and Aneesha Sharma were the top scorers, clinching gold medals in rifle shooting event. Adhiraj scored 388 and Aneesha scored 389.
In another under 15 boys and girls pistol event, Vivaan Sharma scored 356 and Shreya Charak scored 344 clinching gold medals in their respective categories.
Aditya Pratap Singh Sambyal won gold by scoring 370 in under 18 boy’s category; other team members who brought laurels in rifle and pistol event were Naina Saini (Silver), scoring 376 in under-18 Rifle (Women); Priya Chib (Silver) scoring 370 in under 21 Rifle (Women); Vansh Charak (Silver) scoring 380 in under 15 Rifle (Men); Sainath (Silver) scoring 363 in under 18 Rifle (Men); Keshav Dogra (Bronze) scoring 378 in under 15 Rifle (Men); Munish Kumar (Silver) scoring 348 in under 15 Pistol (Men) and Inderjeet Singh (Silver) scoring 356 in under 21 Pistol (Men).
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Brig. (Retd) M S Jamwal Vice President GZSRC, Samar Dev Singh Charak, General Secretary and Gambhir Singh, Treasurer GZSRC.
