*Bhaskar to chair Men’s, Dadeechi Women’s panel

JAMMU, Aug 24: Four former Ranji Trophy Captains have been given berth in Men’s Senior Selection Committee as Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced selection committees in both men and women sections to be responsible to select players for Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, Vijay Hazare One-Day Tournament, Col CK Nayudu Trophy, Ranji Trophy, Senior Women’s One Day Tournament and Senior Women’s T20 Tournament.
The panel of selectors recommended by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) has been accepted by the JKCA Sub Committee.
According to a handout issued here by JKCA, former Ranji Trophy skipper and Duleep Trophy player, Vidhya Bhaskar has been named as chairperson of Senior Men’s Selection Committee, with Vijay Sharma, former Ranji Trophy skipper, Duleep & Deodhar Trophy player; Dhruv Mahajan, former Ranji Trophy skipper and ICL player and Arshad Ahmed Bhat, former Ranji Trophy skipper as the members.
In Women’s Senior Selection Committee, Surbhi Dadeechi, former Captain of North Zone and J&K has been nominated as the chairperson of the Committee, with former prominent cricketers of J&K Payal Choudhary and Masrat Ahad as the members.
Meanwhile, according to Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations JKCA the schedule of trials for the above mentioned formats will be announced shortly.
