34 players to represent J&K in National Soft Tennis C’ships

JAMMU, Feb 22: The 34 promising Soft Tennis players would be representing Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming 15th Junior National Soft Tennis Championship and 14th Sub-Junior National Soft Tennis Championship, being organised at Ahmedabad from March 21 to 25.
The screening of players for the national event was conducted by the Screening Committee under the chairmanship of Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh, in presence of Indu Padha, International Soft Tennis player and reputed Coach at Jammu.
The selected players included Sidhani Singh and Rishab Koul for 15th Junior National Soft Tennis Championship, whereas Samanyu Cyrish, Antikshika, Soham Bhat, Madhavendra Singh, Shulin Koul, Shreemai Bhat and Hardeep Singh for 14th Sub-Junior National Soft Tennis Championship.
Meanwhile, the screening was also done by the Screening Committee under the supervision of Divisional Sports Officer, Nusrat Gazala, Maqsood Ahmad, Manager (SKISC) and Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Manager Gindun Stadium Srinagar.
Seyd Aaira Andleeb, Misba Jan, Munaza Fayaz, Urveeda Wani, Meezan Farooq, Mehvish Manzoor, Naila Sayar and Takmeel Manzoor were screened in junior girls categroy; whereas in junior boys, Shahid Sikander, Burhan Khursheed, Fahad Mubarak, Movahid Masroor, Atif Shah,Faisal Shah and Shakir Ismail were screed by the Committee and in sub junior boys, Arsh Abaas, Zayeem Masoodi, Sheikh Shariyar and Shahijahan were slected besides in sub junior girls, Hoorain Basharat,Muntaha Aijaz, Eiqan, Umaima Noor, Fadiah Zahoor and Zainab Kuchay were selected.
