ANANTNAG, Aug 18: The 2nd District Anantnag Rugby 7’s Championship 2014, which was inaugurated at Army Goodwill School Pahalgam on August 16 concluded here today.
250 boys and girls in all 3 age groups viz Sub Junior, Junior and Senior took part in this 2-days Championship.
The said Championship was organized by District Anantnag Rugby Association under the aegis of J&K Rugby Association and J&K State Sports Council.
Anurag Dass, Principal, Army Goodwill School, Pahalgam, Kashmir was the chief guest on the valedictory ceremony and distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners and runners-up teams.
Ajaz Hassan, Secretary, District Rugby Association, Anantnag and Irfan Aziz Butta, general secretary, J&K Rugby Association were also present during the concluding ceremony of the championship.
Fist of Fury Club won Sub Junior boys Championship, while Cute Girls Rugby Club clinched Sub Junior girls title. Red Bulls Rugby Club won the Junior boys title, while the Junior girls title went to Junior Radiants Rugby Club. Super Sevens Rugby Club won the Senior men title, while the Senior women title went to Brave Hearts Rugby Club.
