BUDGAM, Sept 15: 23rd Budgam District Taekwondo Championship-2021, organised by the District Association concluded at Railway Hall Budgam, here today.
Chief Area Manager, Northern Railways, Saqib Yousuf was the chief guest.
In sub-junior boys (50kg), Rayees Ali, Uzair Shabir and Furhaan Tariq remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, wherein in junior girls (49kg) Shahida Yousuf and Muskaan Zainub won top two medals and in (63kg) Arifa Zehra, Rabia Zehra & Aira Zargar secured top three positions, besides in junior boys (48kg) Yasir Bashir, Aabid Hassan and Adil Ramzan won top three medals, in 55kg, Anam-ul- Yousuf , Ayan Javaid Rather & Adil Hussain secured top three medals, whereas in 59kg, Azad Beigh, Danish Mushtaq & Dawood Mushtaq bagged top three positions, moreover, in 63kg, Sajad Beigh and Zeeshan Rafiq remained 1st and 2nd, whereas Anees Yousuf and Talha Rashid Qureshi shared bronze and in 68kg, top three medals were clinched byDanish Ali, Nadeem Yousuf & Nadeem Ramzan respectively.
In senior girls (53kg) Misbah Altaf & Iqra Akhter stood 1st and 2nd, whereas in senior boys (58kg), Waseem A Kumhar, Mohd Abass & Aaqib Hussain secured top three medals and in 63kg, Ishfaq A Wani, Aijaz Ali & Imdad Ali besides in 68kg, Bilal A Rather, Sheikh Aadil & Nahid Shafi bagged top three medals.
Waseem Kumhar of Dynamic Academy of Martial Arts was awarded as the Best Fighter of the championship.
