JAMMU, Sept 17: The 22nd Jammu District Open Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker championship 2012 was declared open Sidharath Sharma, president Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) in a simple but well attended function at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
The organizers have received over 50 entries for the junior snooker event, the matches in which shall begin at 11 am onwards from tomorrow morning.
Speaking on the occasion President, JKBSA informed that that Association is holding Srinagar District championship in a few days from now and after these two championships, the State Championship shall be held at Jammu in the month of October, 2012, which shall be the qualifying tournament for the selection of the State team for the forthcoming Nationals in the month of January by the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India.
Meanwhile, the matches during the championship shall be officiated by Surjeet Singh Baloria and Rakesh Sharma under the overall supervision of Sohail Khalid, the organising secretary of the tournament.
