JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association held a meeting in presence of its Chairman Sidharth Sharma.
The meeting was attended by President, Sanjeev Gupta, Senior Vice President, Jaideep Manocha, Vice President, Nikhil Kapahi, Treasurer, Sohail Khalid and Executive members Kuldeep Choudhary and Ishuk Choudhary.
In the meeting, General Secretary of the Association Vishal Abrol apprised that a notification from the Billiards and Snooker Association has been received in which the Association has sought entries for the upcoming National Tournament in the month of October-November 2016.
The tournament is going to be held in two categories–National Championship for Six Red Ball and Sub Junior, Junior and Ladies Billiards and Snooker Tournament.
To select the players for these tournaments to represent the State, Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association has decided to conduct 1st Six Red Ball District Jammu Championship and 24th Junior and Sub Junior District Jammu Billiards and Snooker Tournament from August 22. Due to the tense situation in Valley, Srinagar District Tournament will start as soon as the situation turns normal there.
All the interested players are requested to send their entries before August 21 upto 5 pm. The entry fee for Six Red Ball event is Rs 300 and for other tournament, Rs 200 for Sub Junior and Junior and Rs 300 for senior.
The tournament will be played under rules as prescribed by Billiards and Snooker Federation of India.
Gurjeev Singh will be the Organizing Secretary of the tournament vis-à-vis Chief Referee.
