SAMBA, Aug 5: The 14th District Samba Fencing Championship concluded at Vinod Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School Nonath, here today.
Around 150 fencers of various schools of Samba District participated in the Championship. During the closing ceremony, Keshav Dutt, DDC Chairman Samba, Suresh Sharma Assistant Development Commissioner (ADC) Samba, Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, Chandarkanta, District Officer Youth Service Sports and Brij Mohan Khajuria Executive Engineer, PHE Samba were present on this occasion.
The final results in under-17 Foil Boys were Lalit (Gold), Anshu (Silver), Souray (Bronze), Saksham (Bronze). In Open Sabre Boys, Samashwar (Gold), Shivam (Silver), Himanshu (Bronze) and Vansh (Bronze).
The tournament was organised by Samba District Amateur Fencing Association in Collaboration with J&K Amateur Fencing Association, J&K Sports Council, District Youth Service Sports (DYSS) and Management of Vinod Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School Nonath.
