KATRA, Aug 6: The 12th Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Shooting Championship concluded here today at Katra.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Udhampur-Reasi (U-R) Range, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary was the chief guest. Shailender Singh, SSP (Crime), Deepak Dubey, Sub District Magistrate, Katra, M.M. Madhavan, Facility Director, Narayana Hospital, Katra and Rakesh Wazir, President of Hotels and Restaurant Association, Katra were the guest of honours.
The special guests were Vipin Bhagat, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Vipin Chandra, SP, Katra, S.S Billouria, DySP, Arun Sharma, Media and Abhishek, Nodal Officer SMVDSB.
The competition was fierce and shooters from various districts of Jammu engaged in a spirited contest, making each round an enthralling spectacle.
The results in the events are 50 Meters Rifle Men (NR) Prone; Surinder Singh Chib and Mohd Younas of J&K Police won Gold and Silver medals respectively whereas Pranav Sambyal of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Bronze in 50 Meters Riffle Prone NR Individual.
Mohd Shafai, Mohd Younas and Amir Iqbal of J&K Police got Gold, Silver and Bronze medal in 50 Meters Rifle 3-position respectively. In the 10 Meters Rifle (Men) Sub Youth Men; Kamakshay Dev Singh of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy got Gold, Rishav Choudhary of GZS Rifle Club got Silver and Daksh Chib of Army Public School (APS) Samba got Bronze.
In 10 Meters Youth Men; Kamakshay Dev Singh of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy got Gold, Tsunami Singh of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver and Krishiv Sharma Army Public School (APS) Samba got Bronze.
In 10 Meters Junior Men; Kamakshay Dev Singh of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy got Gold, Rumit Singh of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver and Arun dev Singh of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Bronze medal.
In 10 Meters senior men; Kamakshay Dev Singh of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy got Gold, Mohd Shfiat of JKP got Silver and Shivam Sharma of MOSAJ got Bronze. In 10 Meters Master-Men; Vijay Kumar of SMVD Shooting Club Katra got Gold, Roopak Soi of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver.
In 10 Meters Rifle (Women) competitions Sub Youth Women Sanskriti Rajput of AIM 10x Shooting Academy got Gold, Sheikh Zinab Iqbal of MOSAJ got Silver and Ritika of APS Samba got Bronze.
In 10 Meters women; Oshien Dutta of MOSAJ got Gold whereas Jasleen Kour of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver medal. In 25 Meters Pistol; Abhay Gupta of Jammu got 3 Gold medals in 25 Meters Pistol Centre fire, 25 Meters Pistol and 25 Meters standard Pistol events. He also got Gold in 50 Meters Pistol.
10 Meters Pistol events Men; Ridhaan Sharma of GZS Rifle Club got Gold medal whereas Ambar Chopra and Saksham Virdhy both from aim 10x Shooting academy got Silver and Bronze medals.
In 10 Meters Youth Men; Suman Kumar of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Gold , Jagjeet Singh of JKP got Silver and Sangram Singh from GZS Rifle Club got Bronze. In 10 Meters Junior men Jagjeet Singh of JKP got Gold whereas Shreyansh Jaglan and Shivansh Gupta of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver and Bronze. In 10 Meters men Abhay Gupta got Gold, Vinod Puri of MOSAJ got Silver and Sachin Sharma of SMVD Katra got Bronze.
In 10 Meters Masters Men; Samsher Singh of GZS Rifle Club Singh got Gold Seikh Zafar Iqbal and Rakesh Singh of Mission Olympics Shooting Academy got Silver and Bronze.
10 Meters sub youth women; Aradhay Jamwal of GZS rifle club got Gold, Akriti Sharma of APS Samba got Silver whereas Ananya Sharma of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Bronze, Pavneet Kour of GZS rifle club got Gold whereas Ananya Sharma of Aim 10x Shooting Academy got Silver medal.
In 10 Meters Senior Women; Roopali of MOSAJ got Gold whereas Bhumika Sharma of SMVD shooting Club Katra got Silver medal.
In ISSF Rifle women Category, Aneesha Sharma, Shimani Choudhary ,Katreena Himanshi Aggarwal from MOSAJ and Pragya Verma, Raveena Jangid from SMVD Katra got Medals in their respective Categories while in ISSF Rifle men category; Anirudh sharma, Harshvarda, Vansh charak, Himanshu Gupta , Vishal sharma and Sunny Khajuria all shooters from mission Olympics shooting academy got Medals in their respective categories.
In the 10 Meters ISSF women Pistol; Shreya Charak from Mission Olympics and Veshali from SMVD Katra got Gold and Silver medals in their category. Avinash Basotra from J&K Police won Gold in 50 Meters Rifle Prone.
Chairman, JKRA, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and S.S.Sodhi, President JKRA expressed gratitude for the support extended by Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, and Anshul Garg, CEO of the Shrine Board, for the successful conduct of the event.
