10th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship concludes

REASI, June 8: Two day long 10th Reasi District Open Fencing Championship concluded at indoor hall of DIET here today.
Organising Secretary Vikas Barru in his address informed that the two day Championship was organised by Reasi District Fencing Association for boys and girls under all age groups, in which around 135 fencers drawn from different clubs and schools participated.
On the valedictory function, DySP Headquarters Mohan Sharma was the chief guest, whereas Jagdish Kumar, Dr Kapoor and Narinder Sharma were the special guests. The cultural Programme presented by the fencers made the valedictory function colourful.
The winners of the Championship were awarded with certificates and medals on the occasion. Amba Kids Home Panthal emerged overall winners and Panthal Fencing club runner-up in girls section and Zorawar Fencing Club Reasi won overall Championship and Royal Fencing club runner-up in boys section.
The technical officials were Ajay Kumar, Vaneet Pangotra, Abhinav Pangotra and Rajay Kumar.
In U-12 Foil Individual Boys, Rahul and Bharat secured gold and silver medals, whereas Saman and Mukesh claimed bronze medals.
In U-14 Epee Individual Boys, Anurag and Raja claimed gold and silver medals, Saman and Mukesh secured bronze.
In U-14 Sabre Individual Boys, Akshat claimed gold medal, whereas Parth secured silver medal. Ajay and Tahir claimed bronze medals.
In U-17 Foil Individual Boys, Manav Mangotra and Prashant Chib secured gold and silver medals, whereas Kapish and Shivdeep claimed bronze medals.
In U-17 Epee Individual Boys, Parvinder Sharma and Mayank claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Vikas and Abhishek secured bronze medals.
In U-19 Sabre Individual Boys, Amit Chib claimed gold medal and Nikhil Atri secured silver medals. Umesh Thakur and Anshit secured bronze medals.
In U-19 Epee Individual Girls, Sindhiya and Anu secured gold and silver medals, whereas Sonia and Rajni claimed bronze medals.
In U-19 Foil Individual Girls, Deepika and Mumtaz claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Pallvi and Anshika bagged bronze medals.
In U-19 Sabre Individual Girls, Keofeeka and Neha Sangral claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Shivani and Shilpa bagged bronze medals.
In U-17 Foil Individual Girls, Riya and Anshika claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Sonali Devi and Anjali Devi claimed bronze medals.
In U-14 Foil Individual Girls, Priyanka Bhagat and Nikita claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Anjali and Pragya bagged bronze medals.
In Senior Epee Boys, Muzmal and Anoop claimed gold and silver medals, whereas Dhruv and Kamal bagged bronze medals.
