REASI, June 9: Two days 2nd Zorawar Singh Memorial Fencing Championship organized by Zorawar Fencing Club in collaboration with Trikuta Shiksha Niketan concluded at Trikuta Shiksha Niketan High School, here today.
About 110 fencers of different clubs and schools participated in the event. The competitions were held in Epee, Sabre and Foil events for Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Boys and Girls.
The Participating Clubs included Zorawar Fencing Club Reasi, Salal Fencing Club, Arnas Fencing Club, Fencing Club of Katra, Panthal Fencing Club, HSS Panthal, Happy Model School Udhampur, Girls HSS Reasi, Royal Fencing Club Udhampur, Fencing Club Tikri, Vaishnavi Fencing Club Jammu, Heritage Public School Reasi, Trikuta Fencing Club Reasi, HS Kambal Danga etc.
Zorawar Fencing Club with 6 Gold and 3 Silver medals remained the overall champion in the tournament. The winners were awarded with prizes and medals at the end of the championship.
The bouts were officiated by Ajay Kumar, Rajay Kumar, Hardeep Bhagat, Ravinder Kumar, Jyoti Devi and Rohit Panjgotra.
The gold medal winners in various events included Vikas Bali, Anish Sharma, Anuj Sinh, Parshant Chib, Kamal Kumar, Deepika Thakur, Palak Bharti, Diksha Sharma, Archana Devi, Amit Chib.
