POONCH, July 19: Zaffar Cricket Club defeated Rufi Cricket Club by 71 runs in the ongoing JKCA Poonch District Cricket Tournament, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, Zaffar CC won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Zafar Club scored a decent total of 237 runs in the stipulated overs. Gurcharan Singh and Waseem Raza scored 57 and 53 runs respectively.
In reply, Rufi Cricket Club managed to score 166 runs to lose the match by 71 runs. For Zafar Cricket Club, Imran Shah took 3 important wickets, while Waseem Raza claimed 1 wicket. Waseem Raza was declared as the man of the match for scoring 53 runs and claiming 1 wicket.
