CHENNAI, Sept 11:
It had turned out to be an anti-climax in Visakhapatnam when ‘Rain Gods’ delayed Yuvraj Singh’s comeback but the Chennai crowd were happy to witness him straight into action as he bowled couple of overs in the second T20 against New Zealand.
Just like in Visakhapatnam, where the fans were present in large number in what was supposed to be an emotional welcome for their hero who has survived rare germ-cell cancer, it wasn’t any different here with fans carrying giant posters and placards wishing luck for the talented cricketer.
Wearing his favourite No 12 jersey, Yuvraj was stationed at square leg position but wasn’t really active as he did not have to field any of the balls during the first Powerplay.
However a huge roar went up as the giant screen showed ‘Welcome Back Yuvi’ with their hero slowly trudging towards his four-step bowling mark. (PTI)
