JAMMU, Jan 30: Young Star Cricket Club Doda and Rajput Cricket Club registered victories in the cricket tournament being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The first match was played between Young Star Cricket Club Doda and Marmat Cricket Club Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Young Star Cricket Club Doda decided to bat first.
Batting first, they scored a total of 120 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their stipulated 12 overs. Asrar Dev and Shadab Wani scored 40 and 23 runs, while from Marmat Cricket Club Doda , Liaqat and Mohd Ali took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, Marmat Cricket Club Doda managed only 70 for the loss of 9 wickets. Imtaiz was the highest scorer who scored 17 runs. From Young Star Cricket Club, Shadab wani and Yasir Dar took 2 and 1 wickets. Shadab Wani was declared as man of the match for his best all round performance.
In the second match played between Rajput Cricket Club Doda and Islamia Cricket Club Bhaderwah, Rajput Cricket Club Doda won the toss and elected to bat to score 103 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 15 overs. Nadeem top scored with 34 runs, while Faizan contributed 16 runs to the total. From Islamia Cricket Club Bhaderwah, Azhar and Adil took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
In reply, Islamia Cricket Club Bhaderwah managed only 98 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Azar and Sajid scored 15 and 13 runs, while from Rajput Cricket Club Doda Ashwani and Nadeem took 2 wickets each. Nadeem of Rajput Cricket Club Doda was awarded as man of the match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Yasir Dar as umpires, while Om Parkash acted as scorer.
